CHED “Category A” Journals.
UP Diliman has six journals with a “Category A” rating from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). A CHED “Category A” journal is credited as an international level publication. It receives from CHED P200,000 per year during the effectivity of accreditation, and an endorsement for library subscription.
. An internationally-refereed journal for the humanities, which comes out semi-annually and published by the UP Diliman Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Development.. An open-access journal, it is multilingual and both disciplinal and multi-disciplinary. Humanities Diliman is SCOPUS-indexed. It promotes scholarship in the arts and humanities in the Philippines, as well as international synergies, especially with scholars in Southeast Asia. Dr. Patrick F. . An internationally-refereed journal published twice a year by the Third World Studies Center, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy. It provides a forum for critical and interdisciplinary perspectives on the Philippines and the Third World with special reference to political economy. (Category A-2, 2013 – 2015)

Managed by the Publications Program of the College of Arts and Letters, the journal publishes scholarly, critical and analytical works on various aspects of Philippine culture, the arts and letters, as well as creative works in the broad field of the humanities. The Philippine Humanities Review is also available in e-book form (amazon.com, itunes.apple.com, barnesandnoble.com, and flipreads.com). Dr. Gonzalo Campoamor II is its current editor-in-chief. . First published in 2004 as a national journal of communication, it has since evolved to a more inclusive regional focus and has recently begun publishing papers from other Asian countries. Papers published include original research in different areas of media and communication studies in the Philippines and Asia. These can be qualitative or quantitative work in media effects, industry, political economy, subcultural practices, and journalism studies. Released as a regular bi-annual journal, Dr. Elena E. . This is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that has been being published since 1963 by the Asian Center. One of the pioneering journals of its kind in Asia, Asian Studies offers a critical, multidisciplinary platform where scholars, practitioners, and activists can publish research that draws on the theories and perspectives from the social sciences, humanities, and/or cultural studies. Published twice a year, it features research articles, commentaries, reviews, literary works, and travel narratives.

Layon nitong magtanghal at magpalaganap ng mga bagong kaalaman at mapalakas ang talastasang pangkasarian na maaaring gamitin sa gawaing pagtuturo, administrasyon at ekstensiyon. This is a refereed online journal devoted to the publication of research articles on all aspects of science and mathematics education. The journal is a publication of the National Institute for Science and Mathematics Education Development of the University of the Philippines. It is published exclusively in electronic format through the World Wide Web.

This is a refereed journal of the UP School of Urban and Regional Planning, whose articles aim to disseminate scholarly insights on prevailing issues shaping urban and rural systems to a wider audience. It is geared towards elevating the practice of urban and regional planning professionals, most especially those engaged in the local planning area. The journal accepts articles concerned with urban and regional planning and allied disciplines such as public works, transportation, real estate development, and the environment—both built and natural, regardless of geographic context.

. The Philippine Journal of Librarianship and Information Studies (PhJLIS) continues the work of the , beginning with vol. 39, no. 1. This semi-annual refereed academic journal publishes articles discussing issues and developments from all fields in the area of librarianship and information studies. The first issue of the journal was released in 1968, and starting from 2019, it assumed its current name.

. The journal serves as a forum where ideas on issues and concerns affecting the lives of women, seen from the analytical perspectives of different disciplines, may be exchanged. It encourages and seeks to publish research that employs feminist methodologies and that adheres to the principles of feminist research, bearing in mind the intersectionality of gender, class, religion, age, and education. The RWS also features interviews of women through a first-hand account of their experiences to discover and highlight ways in which they have invested their lives with meaning and dignity. Creative works that provide insights into women’s consciousness and articulate their experiences are equally welcome. The RWS follows the double-blind peer review process.
